      Anyone recently lost connecion?

BB was running fine, and then suddenly lost connection.

Router is saying that it's connected at 15249kps, but status is displaying 'LCP is allowed to come up'.

Called Sky, and they say that there is a network upgrade taking place today. Was told to try & connect again in a couple hours.

Oh yes... All's been fine since install about 3 weeks ago (on Max).

Then today at about midday, nothing. "Internet" light on the router is out and the router status shows 0kb down/up speeds... i.e. no connection at all back to the exchange. One minute I was browsing the web, next minute it's gone.
Did all the usual rubbish with tech support, rebooted router, rebooted PC (duh, why ?) check router phone cable was plugged in (duh), changed filter, etc.

Support now say they need to pass it to Tier 3 and to expect a call from them within 7 days !!!!!!... That's almost funny... Well, 7 days for a callback is a joke.

Before migration about 3 weeks ago, this was a BT ADSL line for the last 5+ years and has never had a fault before of any description. Analogue calls are still just fine on this line.

Personally, I think it've accidentially been disconnected in the local exchange by some monkey provisioning someone else and unprovisioning me in the process... but we'll see in a week if Tier3 ever call back.

Exactly me feeling. Definately an exchange problem.
I know of someone on Sky BB, who noticed that the connetion speed on their router dropped down to 2meg, an that he was getting an IP address that was not in the Sky range.
He got to work and checked the BT order status page, and found that an order had been placed on his take to take him off LLU, back to BT IP Stream (as if he had cancelled Sky and was going to another ISP)

He called Sky, and had a batle to get throughto Tier 3. When they finally called him back, they were puzzled as to what had happened.
As we all know, the end user cannot speak to BT Wholesale - only the ISPs can, so that order had to have ben placed by an ISP.

I think someone out there has some very fat fingers and cannot type numbers properly.
