Ws connected on 27th October afetr my initial date of the 11th October passed. Was connected for 2 weeks then cut off by good old sky who when I spoke to CS said they didn't know why I was cut off and asked me if I knew . I have reordered again and was due to be connected on 22nd November and now I have joined the list of getting every excuse why I haven't been connected. more fool me I guess for giving Sky a second chance, how stupid hey.

I wonder if every Sky BB on your exchange has this problem?A simple crude speed test:-

Cancelled my BB....
After much frustration, I phoned up customer services and requested a full cancellation to be put on my line. The rep totally agreed with my reasons for leaving and even said he would do the same in similar circumstances!
I believe the cancellation process is coming to an end with a few markers remaining on my line- so customer services tell me anyway.
Well time to look for a new provider- any suggestions welcome

they cancelled mine too
I had a couple of days connection back at the beginning of Nov. My BB was ceased on the BT website on 6 Nov. I asked sky to reorder as BT have no new orders to try to reprovide my service, but apparently I am in 'pre active cancel' and have been since 6 Nov. I don't know what that means, except that sky just don't want to know!

Well, today I had a reply to the email I sent 3 weeks ago. I can re-order Sky cos they have cleared it down and everything is ok. So I (being naive) phone them to re order. Guess what - its still in pre active cancel so can't do anything. On a more positive note, I checked my line and there seems to be no tags, so I am off. I am going to cancel the TV and put up with freeview - they ain't getting another penny out of me!
EDIT - I ordered with BE last night (15th Dec) and got an email today saying my activation date will be 21st Dec, so I will be back online at a reasonable speed by Xmas! Hooray. Phoned sky and found out I have just under £100 in credits on my account (I was only ever told of 10p credit being applied as compensation for a 47 minute wait on the 0870 number and that was when I was transferred - they did nothing about the original wait, but hey, who cares - it looks like someone put a decent credit on at some time! I will stay with Sky for TV until the credit runs out and then cancel!
