As expected Sky won't accept a MAC from a LLU service, so it's a case of cancelling the service, waiting for the line to clear and then starting over. Strangely Sky won't do anything at all now, woman just said to cancel with my current ISP, wait until it's all gone through and i've been internet-free for 5 days and then phone Sky again to start an order, after which it should take another 5 days to get activated again. I did try to ask about whether i'd have issues with my BAND reference being well expired by then, but she kept getting confused with MAC codes and saying they can't be accepted from LLU areas, so I gave up after trying to ask the same question the third time. Will just have to wait and see I guess.

Actually thinking about it she didn't ask for my BAND reference at all, so maybe either it's linked to my phone number/name etc on their system, or i'm on a quiet exchange with no queue...

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
