      Its just that it took me so long to get my Sky Broadband to work I would hate to think that it would all now go pear-shaped!!

      One bit of advice as you are on the connect package don't turn your router off as there is a 10 learning period if you would like some more info read this and maybe this

      Exactly the same here! I then moved to the Mid package.

      Here are my stats:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 8190 kbps 396 kbps
      Line Attenuation 42.0 db 23.9 db
      Noise Margin 12.1 db 23.5 db

      I am also on High Wycombe exchange with figures apparently capped at 8 meg download speed like yours. I was offered the MAX package by the Sky CS but it seems that there may be an exchange constraint limiting speed to 8 Meg. Lets hope Sat Dish can clear this up and post any information from BT or Sky on the subject.
