      Update

Got my letter this morning saying my activation date was set for the 31/08/2006 but its possible it could happen sooner so the letter says anyway, so only around 5 days to wait unless I get another phone call saying there are more problems.

Fingers are now well and truly crossed

Following on from this, one of the other forums that I regularly visit the anti Sky Broadband sentiment is quite prevalent. I think a lot stems from peoples frustration at not receiving the "magic e-mail" allowing them to order so they quickly jump to the "shambolic launch of Sky Broadband" argument. Anyway, thought you all might be interested in my posting on the other forum coming from the perspective of someone who has ordered Sky Broadband (it's under the name of nathanhill69):

      Hi spcdust

perhaps you should copy and paste this thread on their forum as we have been advised of some problems with the initial signups. (or drop a link in)

This will maybe help them understand the problems with the magic email

Oh well, in the interests of assisting one another I've posted that link that you suggested:

Also, thought that this would generate traffic through this forum as I'm sure we can all live side by side. Lets hope the DS Mods don't take exception

      Angry

Yes I have been on the forum and reading some of the stuff thats been posted on there and it cracks me up that there are so many people who thing they should be on SkyBB already.

I guess there are a lot of people that just don't know how to read an email or they only see what they want to see and I get the impression that most if not all of them that are bitching have no idea what the word patience means.
