I get the impression that Sky want the same Wheelie, they seem to have definitely staggered the sign ups.

I have seen more good reports than bad over the staff and the same goes in any profession, once the staff get up to speed on their job etc, things should be flying for them.

You can quite clearly see, their roadmap has been clearly thought out and 10 / 10 for implementing such a large roll out. Other ISP's would be wise to learn from them.

I agree, and I have the feeling those I have seen complaining on other forums about not recieving their code yet, would be the first to read Sky the riot act if the got connected to an oversubcribed, unreliable service.

Despite the hiccup of there being a problem with my order (despite it being previously confirmed as fine), I would say that the staff have been polite and the phone answered quickly. It's a new launch so inevitably there will be some issues and those of us who have signed up are effectively guinea pigs that they will hopefully learn from and improve their systems. There are others out there that who are keen to just get the e-mail to allow them to order Sky Broadband so I guess we just have to count ourselves lucky.

i think what we should do is a poll, regarding the staff, to see overall what the level of service was like. However in the interests of fairness to the staff, i think we should give them say 6 weeks to become use to how their systems work?

I do, but if you can't accept the "guinea pig" status that comes with being the first to subcribe to a service, and the probable hiccups you will experience during sign up, ordering and initial use, then perhaps you should wait a few months and read the reviews until things settle.
