Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Glad in a way that it's not just me. Seeems like lots of us may be affected. Unless you do uploads it is not the sort of thing your average user would notice. I just hope sky have not done a sneaky on us to save on some resources or other.

Mine is still bad - rebooted just to make sure the router had not got blocked-up or something. It is now worse than my old max adsl speed despite syncing at 768 K

Did satdish query this with sky?

I had terrible upload speeds on my Connect package last week - as low as 30K, in fact.

I was ready to give up all hope on Sky, until late on Friday night, when my speeds returned to normal.

I'm fed up getting no emails or no status pages from Sky explaining why these drops are happening. I'm quite happy at the speed of my connection as long as it doesn't become unpredictable and unreliable!

I hope it's just teething problems they are having.

Well, I've had it since mid-September, LOL!

Frequent disconnects at the beginning, then OK, then slow upload speeds, then OK again…

I have just noticed the drop in upload speed on my exchange too. My exchange is called Burton on Trent.

I am connected with the connect package since late september (Had problems with it since day 1) and I always got upload speeds of 376Kbps. Only reliable thing with Sky BB. Now I can only get 239 - 260Kbps. Getting annoying cause I host games online so upload speed is critical.

Will this sort out back to normal, or do you think they have reduced things?

      Here are my connection stats:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4960 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.0 db 26.5 db
Noise Margin 6.5 db 23.0 db

I agree upload speeds have almost halved!!! It's not something that most users would actually notice is it as long as download speeds remain reasonably constant?

Time once again for someone from Sky/Easynet to explain exactly what is going on and more importantly why!!
