Unhappy Easynet in exchange but no sky max?

      Hi guys,

I've been reading your site in the run up to me getting sky and skybroadband and it would seem you'll all had varied experiences with skybroadband.

I have a problem at the moment where I've checked two times with sky that the max package is availible on my phone line and both have said YES! all I have to do is leave my current isp ukonline (which I have) and have my skydigi box installed (9th Dec installation).
The problem is that my friend who lives round the corner who is on the same exchange as me (Farnworth - Bolton) had been told he can't have sky max but only the connect package!
Now what puzzles me is that the Easynet eqipment is in the exchange and sky is saying all the right things to me but my friend who's been with sky for years is been given the connect package - will they shaft me after my sky installation? do I have a leg to stand on??

      Thanks,
      James.

      Hi

If they have said you can have it, then there is a good chance they are telling the truth.

As I understand it there are so many users that can be connected per card per exchange. It might be that your exchange has now reached its limit of users for the card. So until they put more in, then your friend might not be able to get it.

Not saying thats the reason but it is possible.

      Thanks for the reply

I wondered this because I filled in the show interest in sky broadband form on their website when I signed up to sky tv, perhaps I ear marked my line for the package?

I would have thought so as you will bring x amount of pounds per month, and lets face it Sky are here to make money

It may not be the reason though remember
