      Phone line Disconnected

Has anyone else noticed their phone stop working while broadband was being ordered mine was supposed to come on yesterday but nothing happened today my phone rang once and i picked it up and nothing i removed all the filters and tried again but still no phone service i reported the fault online and it says there is a fault at the exchange.

Does this mean they are sorting my broadband out or is it just a coincedence

But what pack are you on with Telewest!

Telewest : 3848kbps is fine for 4Mb (inc overheads)
      Sky : 12886kbps is -3Mb then 16mb?

Had to phone Sky to find out what was happening.

Anyway was told there was faulty wires or something, which have now been fixed. So I said if its fixed why cant it be activated on the 20th. He said the only date he has is the 27th. But then he said it should come on anytime between the 20th-25th, which I'm happy with
And to just keep trying the modem. Only waited a few minuites to get through

      i was on 4 mb

13mb is fine for me it's still faster and cheaper than telewest

the tried to do a deal with me but it involve cutting speed down to 2mb and still paying more than i do for Sky bb

also i suppose if i took my connection off the extension lead and plugged it straight into the master i would prob get 16 mb but i will have to wait until after xmas to do that as the Mrs has reserved the space for the christmas tree
