      From what the other half has said I would guess the latter is the case
      Went for the Max package ie LLU .... counting down the hours at work now till I get home to see if (a) the sky connection is working and (ii) how close to the 'predicted' 10-14MB I can get (attenuation is 32db)

      As it should be LLU, the old router's light should come back on at some point - but won't be able to get anywhere, yes ??

      Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      A further update (she's obviously found some time to put her book down !!!) ... the old router's (i) light is now flashing - which IIRC means it can't get a connection.

      I've just had word from the missus as well. She says she cant get onto the internet at home either....so Im in the same limbo situation as you Adam

      Will find out when I get home tonight....I've found out my Sky router tut tut so should hopefully be just a case of shoving the details in my old router set up!

      Still can't get on the Sky Portal yet though!

      Fingers crossed.

      Ok, I have a connection using the Sky router but I am meant to be on Max but my router stats say:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 7616 kbps 416 kbps
      Line Attenuation 41.0 db 24.5 db
      Noise Margin 7.0 db 14.0 db

      I also see that my noise margin has improved, but attenuation has got worse ???

      well i just switched to sky and so far i love it, am on the mid package. so it's not all doom and gloom, there are some happy members too. i say go for it. or if you want to be extra safe, wait a few more weeks and then jump on the wagon. surely as time goes by sky will get its act together and there will be less problems. but as i said, so far, it's perfect.

      @Adam

      Are you sure you are on MAX upstream is more like the Mid package.

      @Jim

      Your not alone as far as the portal is concerned but that could change once you are connected
