I have heard some horror storys about people having there accounts reset/restarted then having to wait 30 days to be reconnected! The rest of mine is working well at mo apart from portal.
But, as I say, the problem comes when you need to make changes that can only be done via the portal !!!!

If I can't get in I am going to have use an email hosting service or gmail.

      @jimbono05 & Adam

There is no tools to tell you what you have used on the portal and as far as I know the only things you can do is add users to the email accounts, from what I have been told you can also add users via the MY Sky account as well though I have never tried it myself as I have never needed to do so.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Just had a thought....do you have to log onto the portal from your home/Sky connection...I'm trying to access it from work, maybe that's the problem?

So there is no way of keeping track of my usage??? Is there some log information on the router that can give me this information or will I have to download some software?

As far as I know you have to be on your SkyBB to access ?

You could always use these tools

      DU Meter
      NetMonitor3.0

Cheers Ray for those usage tools....Du Meter was just a trial version and NetMonitor just crashes on start up.

Did a "usage" search on this site and found this one which seems to do the trick...very light on CPU as well which is essential for my old laptop at home!

      Tautology's bandwidth meter

To be honest it doesn't look like I'm missing much from the portal...what else can you do on there apart from Email?

NP and that one looks quite good as well

I really have no idea what else you can do on the portal but until me actually get on it we really have no idea if we are missing anything

Just to give an final update....

....been on Sky BB for nearly a week now....no problems and the line seems stronger and more robust than it ever was with PlusNet...eg. video streaming the Cricket highlights from the BBC...perfect uninterupted through SKY...jumpy, stop start buffering through PlusNet

More than happy with the service...activated on date promised and no noticeable downtime as it occurred whilst I was at work

Thanks for everyone input in making me decide to switch and cheers for the 180 I'm gonna be saving a year

You can access the portal from anywhere (if it works for you, that is...)

It doesn't do much else then email, other than let you customise it to your own preferences, by displaying news stories of your interest, the weather for your area, and useful sky links.

I suppose the idea behind it is for people to use it as their homepage.

I find nufc.com far more interesting though....
