      lede router settings help

      /hi

I've just installed lede on a BT home hub 5.

I see a lot of information about MER and Ppoa, but in not sure what sky adsl even uses.

Has anyone setup openwrt or lede and can help?

      Re: lede router settings help

      Welcome to the forums iceze.

PPPoA is a common ADSL setting. All routers should support this.

If your router doesn't support MER for an ADSL connection, then PPPoA should be fine.

If you intend to get a Sky Fibre connection then is is a whole new ball game for settings. Essentially your router will need to support Opt.#61. OpenWRT does do this.

There are a selection of different threads which provide some information on what settings you would need for a Fibre connection.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
