      Slow broadband

      Hi, l am new to sky having moved house. We have a sky Q router. l have phoned sky as we are downloading at about 500kb. Sky have said that the router is showing speeds up to 6 and is a good connection. l have hard wired the main pc but still the same. l have done the speedtest which sky said is fine, There help stopped there, so l am at a loss to know what to check. Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks

      Hello Sue and welcome to the forums.

      Could I ask you to post your connection stats first please so that someone can see what you are getting? The instructions in the article linked below will be correct for the Q Hub.

      How To Get Your Sky Hub SR101 Router Statistics

      Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
      Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
