everything set up and working but one question

once i finally traced where my router had been delivered to i've got everything set up and it seems to be all working fine but one minor thing i'm not sure about is that the internet and no.1 green lights seem to flicker quite a lot - mainly it seems when a page is loading

the connection never drops but i thought these lights should be solid

The lights blinking means that its transferring data!

Maybe you could post your line stats and a speed test!

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2021 kbps 766 kbps
Line Attenuation 46.5 db 27.7 db
Noise Margin 7.0 db 10.0 db

not great although i intially had it connected to a different phone point (with the wires trailing across the dining room!) and was getting about 4mb speed

and given i was paying 23.99 per month for 2mb from onetel i'm happy matching that speed initially

Maybe you could see if the speed stays like this for a month and so.. and if you dont need the bandwidth ... move to base?

i will be keeping an eye on my download speeds but i choose max as i don't want a usage limit as i run various web sites and download and upload a lot each month
