      I've took the plunge

      Hi all,

I've took the plunge and ordered sky max.
I ordered on the 13th and ive checked the BT order site and the date the line is to switched to LLU is the 22nd.
At present im with Zen and always had great speeds and my router syncs at 8128 but the offer of unlimited and higher speed have swayed me towards sky and im keen about trying this LLU malarki.
Heres my current router stats for Zen:
      DSL Status: UP
      DSL Modulation Mode: GDMT
      DSL Path Mode: FAST
      Downstream Rate: 8128 Kbps
      Upstream Rate: 448 Kbps
      Downstream Margin: 7 db
      Upstream Margin: 29 db
      Downstream Line Attenuation: 28
      Upstream Line Attenuation: 12
      Downstream Transmit Power: 0
      Upstream Transmit Power: 0

I must admit having read through a lot of posts on here im starting to think ive made a mistake, lol.
Hopefully all will go well and ill get a good speed, ill make a post telling you all if it's a thumbs up or down.
Things im curious about are what difference will i notice when im switched to a LLU? Is there any sort of line training happens like there was with my ADSLMAX? Do the BT engineers ever switch the line earlier than the date given?
      Thanks

      Hi Prolink, welcome to Skyuser.co.uk

Great news you have taken the plunge, keep us all informed

As for all the posts that are highlighting issues, although it is not a nice position for the members to be in, ie been messed around, it helps Sky identify their shortcomings. This does not help members short term but probably will in the future.

Remember not all people have been let down, just a fair few, and hopefully yours will be fine
