      Signup / MySky Login Problems

      Hi,

My question / problem is not strictly related to Sky Broadband, but it is preventing me from applying to migrate to it, so here goes.....

I do not have any login / password details for MySky, and to be honest I do not recall ever signing up to it as I would definitely have kept the registration email and I certainly haven't got one that I can locate.

If I try to register for a MySky account I get an error "This is not a valid viewing card or is already registered against a My Sky account."

When I try to use the forgotten username page I get the response: "Your username could not be found" when all my details entered are correct.

This puts me in an impossible situation whereby I cannot retrieve any existing details to logon, and I cannot register for a new account!

I spoke to Sky Customer Services via the general enquiries line and the lady I spoke to said they have no access to any of that type of information and that I should go onto the "Customer Zone" of the Sky website, and I am either blind or there isn't one that I can see.

Does anyone have any contact information for the relevant department to get this issue resolved, or any advice on what I can do about it as without being able to login to the MySky part of the website I cannot start the ball rolling to get Sky Broadband!!

      Thanks,

      Mark

When you rang Sky up did you ask to signup over the phone? afaik they are still accepting signups over the phone and the internet.

      Hi,

No, I rang the main Sky number as opposed to the broadband one as the MySky doesn't really have anything directly to do with the broadband side of things.

Have I misunderstood? Do you want to sign up to Sky broadband?

Does anyone have any contact information for the relevant department to get this issue resolved, or any advice on what I can do about it as without being able to login to the MySky part of the website I cannot start the ball rolling to get Sky Broadband!!
As for the email side of it I know they are having major problems changing passwords etc as reported here

Update From Sky For Those Without Email

      Good luck!

Try ringing them on this number to order 0800 051 2595 if thats what you want to do

      Sorry for any confusion....

I am going to sign up for Sky Broadband, and I think I'll phone them tomorrow to get things in motion as I have received my MAC code from Zen.

I came across the issue with the login problems earlier today when I tried to sign up via the Sky website and hit the above roadblock, so I was hoping to get that issue resolved and then simply sign up via the website.

Just rang and ordered over the phone :-)

Also managed to get a number from the guy (who was really helpful by the way!) specifically for sky.com.

You might want to add this number to the list of useful contacts if it isn't already there:

      08706 091357

All sorted now and have access to MySky and my BB migration is now in motion. :-)

Migration completed yesterday on exactly the day my Sky letter said it would.
Speeds were about 2400kb with Zen on ADSLMax, and are now at 3200kb on Sky LLU, so more than happy!!

The whole process from ordering to completion went like clockwork, so very pleased!!
