It is hard to say as there are many factors affecting your actual speed. Distance from the exchange, quality of wiring from the exchange to you, quality of internal wiring and noise levels.

but if you have ADSL and know what your current attenuation is try entering it herehttp://www.dslzoneuk.net/maxspeed2.php for an estimate.

This is what that site says & here are the stats from my router, do you that those speeds should be obtainable. Based on the attenuation you entered, we estimate that your line can support around 10 - 14 Mbps on ADSL2+. Thanks again for the help.

Well, Sky estimated 6meg for me and I can get around 8meg maximum. I have mine sync at around 7meg to ensure stability.

      Welcome to the site jjwf

Some people do get faster speeds and some get a lot slower than they have been advised by SkyBB or any other sites for that matter.

Guessing is really a waste of time once you are connected you will know.

Good luck with whatever you end up with
      Ray

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
