Lost broadband connection after HD box replacement

We've been having problems work or sky TV and so had a replacement HD box.
The box we've been given has the built in wifi.

Since the box was installed and connected to the wifi, the Internet connection has repeatedly been lost and a router reboot is required.

I'm not using the sky hub. I'm using a Belkin AC1200 router.
It was working flawlessly before the next HD box was installed.

I was using the on demand connector linked the belkin router before with our old HD box, which again worked fine.

Can the repeated loss of connection be linked to the new HD box?
Is there anyway sky know I've got a none sky router. And so are killing the Internet connection?

Any help is appreciated as I'm having to reboot router a lot.

Sky can always tell which router you are using, but will not care as long as you are on ADSL.

I doubt if the box is making any difference but disable the wireless in the HD box and see if it helps. You can still use the on demand connector.

      Ok thanks.
I was worried sky were interrupting the connection to force me to switch to their rubbish router. For some reason the engineer took the on demand connector away.
