glad to see its going well! I'm kinda in the same boat except BT moved me from 1MB to 512 without telling me. I'm just passing through my free month I squeezed out of them for being dilberts, I have MAC code which expires 6th Jan so I'll be joining sky before then but don't want to risk interupt of service over xmas.

Dave I doubt he did anything it would seem that the SkyBB system should add every user when they are seen by it as being live but for some reason its not doing it to everyone I am in the same boat 4 months now and still no access.

It would also seem to be affecting some members billing ie: not being billed as the system doesn't know to do it.

You do not have the required permissions to access this service

Well, I thought I would email sky one final time about the "You do not have the required permissions to access this service" error and they have replied

      They said...

      Dear Dave,

Thank you for contacting Sky Broadband Technical Support regarding your difficulties with the Sky portal.

Unfortunately we are unable to change the main user account. However if you could reply with your account number, post code and phone number, we should be able to rectify the error message you are receiving stating "You do not have the required permissions to access this service"

I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience in this ongoing matter.

      Kind regards,

      Mark
