      Ordering online?

So I did the availability check and was told I could buy now. Great. Click the button, was taken to Sky.com, registered there...then when I went to buy broadband I got...

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to continue with your order online. New customers please phone 08705 800 874, and customers already with Sky please phone 08706 072 759 for equipment upgrades or 08702 404 020 for package upgrades.
Which was annoying. Why are they saying you can buy online if you can't? I guess I'll have to phone...it's easy to buy by phone, right?

      Hi

Its probably been taken offline as there are too many signups tbh I dont think Sky imagined it would be so busy!

There is a freephone number available, 0800 051 2595 try that one and let us know how you get on!

im pondering ringing up.. not a fan of phone conversations though.

      do they ask endless questions?

When I rang up, it took about 10 mins, however that was about 10 weeks ago and I still have heard nothing!

Likewise I think I was on the phone to them about the same length of time no endless question as most of the info is on the system anyway, from memory it was mostly confirming who I was etc.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Ordered on Monday, didn't take long at all. Equipment arrived today. No letter with activation date yet but I assume it's coming. Only problem at the moment is that the ethernet cable is far too short given the layout of the room my computer's in!

Well today was my activation date. I connected everything up and YES, I'm on with Sky Broadband Mid right now. Only problem is (so far, it's only been ten minutes!) that when I try to log-on to Skybroadband.com I get "You do not have the required permissions to access this service". Oh, and I haven't put the CD in yet. Do I have to?
