All I can find is that a 20 connection charge may apply...

However I think the deal at present will get you an M&S voucher so money back plus!

Thanks for the reply........From what I can gather the 20 connection/installation fee covers cost of a new line, if needed.........I can't seem to find anywhere that confirms that though.......anyone know a number that I can ring, regarding installation ?

A lot will depend on whether there has been a BT compatible landline at the property in the past.

If you currently reside at the property, do you have broadband and how is it supplied?

If there isn't already a line and it isn't economically feasible to provide one BT Openreach will inform Sky that excess construction charges (ECCs) apply and the order will be cancelled.

I grabbed that from the T&C of a new contract. Do you already have a phone point although it's not active or is there no phone point at all?

      I would just ring Sky on 08442 411 653 ( 7p per minute )

      ************** EDIT *************

      seawright beat me to it.

Try 03442 411 653, calls to 03 numbers are usually cheaper than to 08442 numbers and may even be included in your calls package.

      Re: Landline Installation F O C ?

We currently connect to broadband via a 3 dongle.....not ideal, and since I retired proving costly.......there was a BT landline many years ago.......the BT pole is actually opposite our house, so there should be no problems installing a new line.......I guess that I need to talk to Sky.......Thanks for the numbers........Del.

Yes, I just tried it, brilliant that, someone really needs thier hands smacked at Sky.

Try hitting '#' or '*' a couple of times, it should take you to the next menu selection.

If that doesn't work try entering a fake number something like 01234567891 and it should allow you to move on to the next obstacle, err I mean menu.
