I've been capped
I logged a ticket with Sky around a week ago about my connection dropping every day several times between 6pm-9pm. Nobody called me about it at all and now my connection has been capped to 8Mb (was previously synching at around 12.5). When I called Support this morning, apparently my connection has been capped at 2Mb and my original ticket closed. No-one can tell me what has been done or why, along with the fact that no-one knows why I wasn't called.
The fact that I still sync at 8Mb when my connection is capped at 2Mb is even more baffling to the people I talked to.... If anyone at Sky is able to look into why this may of happened, I can provide ticket numbers.
Has anyone else had this experience with them?Kansalis

I'm on the "up to 8" Connect...and was getting loads of disconnects from base speeds around 5Mb or over, yet am near exchange, etc, etc.
After several calls over several weeks from Sky (yes, they rang me) and without any warning, I came home to find the system running at only 3Mb when it had never connected that low before, however, it was stable. After a week or more with no dropouts at all, I came home again one night to find it dropped, and on reboot it's back to 5Mb or more and instability. I cannot get it back down to 3Mb no matter what or when.
So was that a cap and removal, or just chance????
