      Cool Pending Sky BB Order

      Hi
can anyone confirm what happens after supplying sky with a mac code. I have called twice since i gave them the code and asked if they can confirm my connection date.
I was advised that it is likely to be around about the 16th. I expected that this would be confirmed in writing but sky have told me that the do not send out any letters to confirm connection dates.
Can anyone confirm what should actually happen? Oh by the way i received the routed within three days of ordering BB.

      thx

      Hi Wanzle,

I ordered the Max package last Tuesday. The router was sent out on Thursday and I had 2 letters arrive on Monday.

One letter had an estimated connection date on it. I went to the BT web site and there was an order on my line that tied in with that date.

I think you will find that is wrong, as I had a letter from Sky confirming my activation date, although the only problem is the letter (and the router) turned up two days after my line had been activated.

One thing to be aware of mate.

Irrespective of the fact that you have given Sky your MAC code DO NOT expect them to liase with your present provider with regard to cancelling your service.

So, as soon as your connection to your present provider becomes inactive call them straight away & tell them that the service has been stopped.

Also, ask them to remove any tags that they have on your line.

Hope all goes well for you, it surely must for someone someday
