      You may be able to downgrade the firmware by using the Recovery tool - Sky Help: Download the Sky router recovery tool

      But it will probably upgrade again, so might not be worth the effort. It would however, show if the upgrade actually caused the problem or if it was some reason and the update was nothing other than coincidence.

      After a lot of failed attempts, I FINALLY got the recovery tool to successfully recover the router. It is now on firmware:

      Firmware Version 2.1m.3173.R
      DSL Firmware VersionA2pv6F038m.d24j

      And my laptop can connect wirelessly!

      Now... any ideas to stop the firmware auto-updating?

      I have now run into the same problem with a friends laptop I am fixing for her. I am however able to connect it to another router in my network, so no real problem.
