its no problem mate, I try help as much as I can to clear up the farce that was the bband launch lol.
Now you have coverd the basics can I get you to try the power cycle before you depart for bed, its 27mins but give it a good 35. also can I ask has anyone got back to you with any sort of stats about your line, if not keep badgering them for a callback by email. and let us know the results.
Particularly any swish results or tone tests, is there any static on your phone line.
if you still get slow speeds after this its possible theres some sort of line or exchange issue seeing as you have coverd nearly everything possible thanks to all the knowledge on skyuser. sorry I could not be much more help 12 hour shift brains fried, I shall have a sleep on it tonight.

nobody has got back to me full stop although I do remember somebody saying in one of my earlier calls that they had "swished"? my router and there was not a problem. when you refer to static on the line do you mean crackling on voice calls if so i have had this problem in the past but bt supposedly fixed it a couple of years ago. I will try the power cycle off but it will have to be for about 8 hous coz i'm off to bed now. i'm doing a corgi accreditation assesment this week so my brain is also "frazzled" with gas laws
if you sort this and ever have a boiler prob give me a call

tried the power cycle - no difference
will now start emailing them daily instead of waiting 5 days

bombard them mate, they cant ignore everything, send it to james murdochs addy that was posted aswell, feel helpless here sometimes

Just had a phone call from sky saying that they had an engineer at the exchange changing some equipment and had I noticed any difference. I was busy at the time so told him no as after last weekends fiasco I didnt think they'd send an engineer out just for me on a saturday. He said okay T3 will call me within 5 days ( Ha-Ha they havnt called me in the past 5 weeks despite numerous reminders ) Anyway just checked and it seems slower although my line att and noise have changed again !
