Microsoft direct access (vpn) not working for multiple users

      Hi all,

We have multiple users having issues connection via Microsoft Direct Access using Windows 7 32bit and ipv6.

The only users having issues, are Sky broadband users.

Is there anything on the Sky broadband infrastructure or routers that would block this?

It has worked in the past for some of these users, but has now stopped. So unsure if Sky have recently made a change or rolled out firmware upgrades to the home routers (do they do this?).

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give.

At the moment few Sky routers support IPv6. Where compatible these will be updated in due course. I believe Sky are running tests prior to the introduction of IPv6, to avoid possible problems. This may be what is effecting your users. There should be no problems with IPv4.

Just catching up on the threads a little...

      The Sky Hub SR101 & SR102 both support IPv6.

      The Sagem 2504N supports IPv6.

Sky are currently doing a trial for Sagem owners on ADSL. The news was leaked, but again is for IPv6. So I believe that both the Sagem 2504 and Sagem 2304n also support IPv6.

I have no current news for support of IPv6 on the Netgear DG834GT, Netgeat DG934 and D-Link 2640S.

Most current Sky customers with have either a Sagem or Sky Hub now. The Netgear DG834GT was Sky's first router and in many cases started failing so was replaced for free or a small charge.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
