      Watch Sky News Live

Can anybody explain please, I have Sky Broadband Unlimited and when I am on my Desktop & select Skynews Live, it appears with good picture, but after 3-4 minutes the picture Freezes and I have to select `Watch Live` at top right corner of Skynews Live Page, for it to Reappear again-- then another 3-4 mins Freezes once again and so on. Desktop works well with a DownSpeed of 10 meg--Up speed 1 meg with `You Tube` etc No Freezing Up. Nobody else in my home, using a Device at the same time and also Off peak -still happens. Was thinking of buying Sky Fibre ---would this overcome the problem. Surfing is quick on this Computer and it is situated right next to the External Wires coming into my house, so I really dont want the expense of a further 20 for Fibre, which might not solve the problem anyway---What am I overlooking ? ? ? Hello pntalbot8,

I've just taken a look and there appears to be no issues with me watching Sky News here.

Could I ask the following of you:

      • Which Browser are you using (version number is important too)
      • Which operating system is installed on your Desktop
      • If you have been watching Sky News via a different link, could you post that link so that I can check that page

As for your connection, 10mb should be more than sufficient. I believe that 2mb is normally quoted as the minimum speed required. Certainly Sky Fibre would be a good candidate for improving your connection speed but please check the estimated speeds first.

If you have Sky Talk please use the Address Checker as the BTW site won't have details for the Sky number.

No problems here either, using pop out or full screen, with Firefox 35.01 on Windows 7.

Scubbie, Thanks for Info, Using Windows 7 & Firefox version 35.0.1. Tried Internet Explorer Explorer 9 that is Installed, but never used, all OK now after Testing for 30 minutes to Sky News Live. So its Firefox 35.0.1 thats causing the fault. I don`t know what to adjust on Firefox 35.0.1 any ideas please.

      Re: Watch Sky News Live

I'm using FF 35.01 too but on Win 8.1.

It is likely that something else is causing you the problem as Tom has a similar set up to yourself.

One suggestion would be to uninstall FF then to reinstall it. Before you do so you may wish to back up all your Bookmarks and also use the 'sync' feature in Firefox to allow you to backup various other settings in FF first. You'll find the sync feature under the options menu.

      Great!

If you used the options to ensure that Firefox was all backed up before hand, you should still have all your bookmarks and most of any other settings too.

It may be an add-on which is causing the problem. If you reinstall your add ons, check after each to make sure it is not the culprit.
