have you got an icon next to your clock bottom right hand side of your screen that looks like 2 pcs talking to each other?

Looks to me then the problem is there DNS servers or the links into them, but with OpenDNS I don't seem to have problem, surferd for 15 minutes without interruption!
I may be tempted to keep my settings there!
UPDATE - Still can't access secure sites, but normal sites are at least loading now.

Saw your post, went and changed mine, was about to report back that i still cant get msn or cpanel of my site.......
notice you have edited now
My edit - yes normal sites seem far quicker.

Done that & restarted the router but the old values stilla ppear on the admin page?

The values in the router will not change because you haven't changed them on the router. By changing the values in Windows, the OS I think overrides your router DNS settings and hopefully you can get some normal surfing carried out until Sky rectify the issue.
