Well i'm having the same problems. Though i can get windows live messenger to work, you just have to use the connection trouble shooter in the options menu under connection. Just let it go through the checks then hit the repair button.
It might take a few attempts to get it working.

yep same here, wTF is going was running sweet 2 weeks ago could access everything, but for the last week internet has been crap especially secured sites nokia.co.uk, but BTorrient has been working fine. Been on Connect since beginning of Oct, didnt pay for that month as service was crap, decided to call ts and cs at sky today. those Hunts at ts said that they would investigate but i told them what was wrong (from which i read from this site) they said they would call me back!!!, then i called cs and got this month payment credited, i dont want to do this but if they cant provide me a decent service then i will moan to cs.

      Same problem here, since Thursday.

I don't care if it is a weekend, this is a catastrophic fault and they should have engineers on call to fix it, no matter what day of the week it is. Reading earlier posts in this thread, Sky themselves call it a "major outage".

They can arrange to have Sky Home Services come out and install equipment for new customers on Saturdays and Sundays, so why can't they fix a problem like this?

I've noticed that if you reboot the router and then try and access a secure site straight away, it will let you get in the 1st one no problem. If you then go to another secure site after it won't work unless you reboot the router again. Just a tip in case you need to access ebay or your bank.

Unless I knew better I'd say it was a router problem. We know it isn't but because there isn't a service page lots of people could be thinking this a router problem when it isn't.

EDIT: Worked with ebay and hsbc. Didn't seem to work with Paypal. Still worth a try though.

      How do you do this?

Been on to TS, all they say is 'restart your router' !

Anyway, a **POSSIBLE** workaround for it: I've changed my DNS servers to the openDNS ones, and so far it is working much better (still a couple of sites down, but not all)

      Maybe a clue there somewhere.

      My IP 90.196.84.XXX

I presume it'd be easy to migrate away from SkyBB if these problems aren't rectified soon?
