      Internet regularly disconnects/reconnects

      Had Sky LLU unlimited for 4 years, not a problem til recently when lose internet connection, generally in evenings about 4-6 times, and then it immediately reconnects. Occurs on all devices whether wifi or ethernet. Been running Routerstats and see that noise margin ranges from 9 to 4dB, sync speed 12-13mBps.

      Tested in master socket but same results.

      I think Sky have recently, 21/09, increased my connection speed to 14333 kbps, according to details on my Sky account.

      This morning noise margin is 3.7dB,

      Has Sky changed their DLM levels which is pushing speeds up but also increases instability due to low noise margins?

      Did it say in your Broadband connection details if DLM training was running on your line? It looks like it is. 14333 is an exceptional speed for your attenuation and if you are getting disconnections, it will probably reduce.

      DLM can set the noise level at 3 dbs, which gives a higher possible speed. Previously the default level was 7 dbs.

      Sill having disconnects after 3 BT Openreach visits.

      Sky first sent their engineer out and he identified AM noise on the line.

      BT Openreach came and confirmed noise, they replace faceplate with latest type and changed lines to cabinet.

      Number of dropouts per day were reduced but still had 2-3 every day.

      BT Openreach returned, checked line, no faults found, added RF faceplate so no micro filter necessary.

      Number of drop outs still 2-3 every day.

      BT Openreach returned, checked line, no faults found.

      Spoke to Sky yesterday and they want to send BT for 4th time!

      They will not replace router, as they say not at fault and out of warranty.

      The green broadband light goes out when internet disconnects.

      I've been monitoring router with Routerstats to record issues but nobody at Sky is interested.

      The following are the times when the internet drops and then usually reconnects within a few minutes.

      Sky finally decided to replace router and now have stable connection.
