Not sure whether you would be able to cancel broadband without penalty but this would leave you without broadband as to change supplier you would also have to leave Sky Talk.

You're right, you will have a new contract on phone and BB but I'm sure some contracts are now 18 months so I would check when and if you place the order. It will not re-contract you for your TV subscription though.

Re: What advantage to swap BT line rental to Sky.

I am thinking of changing to sky line myself.only they offered me free landline for a yr if I swap.I have my bb with them but line with BT. They only offered free line as I got my MAC,via email.

I've posted last night for some help in the leaving/joining section.but no one replied.so sorry for hijacking your thread.

But can anyone tell me if it will alter my current sky bb speeds, changing from BT line.and if I can still use my old BE* router.,will it force the DLM to activate by changing over etc.

Sky tell me alsorts when I ring them,so I unsure.
      Thanks

Yes, from April 2014 SFU was changed to an 18 month contract.

For a short period SFUP was available on an 18 month contract, but it very quickly went back to a 12 month contract, which is where it has remained since.

All Sky ADSL products remain on a 12 month contract.
