Yes this would be taken off.

I believe that Sky does offer free calls at the weekend for free for new customers. This used to include weekday evenings too.

If you pay Sky an extra 5.00 per month for Sky Talk Anytime UK you would get free calls all day everyday, including to the 0845 numbers. Other numbers are reduced a little too.

Important: Free calls are to 01,02 and 03 numbers. Also Sky's 0844 numbers are included.
Its a bit of swings and round abouts the way you put it, if i cant get sky advanced rental then BT advanced rental will be cheaper, but sky talk anytime gives free calls so this could swing it back to sky.

Would i have to inform BT first about the swap?

      Something to think about.

No need to inform BT but I would wait until 11th December before placing Sky Talk order as advance line rental is not refundable.

You will keep your existing Sky talk tariff. It is just that Eve and WE calls is no longer available either for new customers or for existing customers to switch to.

If it's the offer I'm thinking of it requires you to have Sky Sports and keep it for the duration of the offer otherwise the broadband becomes chargeable.

2 years free broadband ended today for anyone who has thought about it too long.

Standard offer now is 12 months half price.

I don't think there are reductions on any other numbers anymore.

Re: What advantage to swap BT line rental to Sky.

      Just another point.

If we transfer our line from BT to SKY, does that mean a new 12 month contract for our SKY BB and line rental, and does not effect our Sky tv deal.
