      Using 3rd party ADSL router

      If I want to use a third party ADSL router on Sky unlimited what configuration settings and router login (to the Sky ADSL network) are required.

      Encapsulation ......PPPoA
      Username and Password
      VPI................0
      VCI................38
      Multiplexing.....VC-MUX
      MTU ..............1500.

      I presume the username and password are the ones I use to login to my Sky email and Sky web or is there a separate login for the ADSL line?

      No they are hidden in your existing router because Sky didn't approve of third party routers at one time, if you search the forum there are threads on how to extract the information from your existing router, or I'm sure some kind person will point you in the right direction.

      Thanks, I thought that might be the case, my Sky router is the Netgear DG834GT, anyone know how to extract the username and password or can point me in the direction of an existing thread?

      Try this Mel's Notes: Sky Netgear DG834GT-1skuk it's an old link but might still work. Just click on 'extract username and password.
