      Sky email addresses...

      Hi

      I currently have broadband/tv and phone with sky, however it is in my ex-wife's name and I am about to move house so will be cancelling and restarting in my name, however will I lose the email address that I registered with sky?

      It's not the email address assigned to the account holder, it's one I set up afterwards which also has access to the sky account online.

      Provided you continue to use your Sky email address you will not lose it.

      As it is also being used as a Sky ID you will not be able to use it as the Sky ID for your new account.
      Your ex-wife may remove it as a secondary ID thereby preventing you from accessing her Sky account.

      Things have changed a little with the Sky ID's recently, as stated your wife can call in and get it removed or disassociated with the primary ID on the existing account which means it will not be linked to the old account anymore at all.

      Once this is done your email or ID will then be a guest account which means that once your account is active it can now be linked to the new account.

      If your new account does not get given a sky ID automatically you just sign in with your ID and select something like view bill, this will then prompt you to authorise the ID which involves asking for some account information. Once entered this links it to the new account and will make it the primary.

      If there is an ID on the new account then call Sky and ask them to remove it, then just as above sign in with the one you want and select view bill and authorise it.
