      Joining skybb

After waiting 2 months for sky bb to send a band code i finally gave in and phoned them to see what was going on. To my suprise my call was answered straight away and a very helpful lady was more than happy to assist. She then went on to explain that sky have cancelled using the band/reference number method and are now taking orders direct on the phone, so i went ahead and 2 minutes later ive joined she explained the router would take 5-10 days and that i will recieve my confirmation and passwords within the next few days. JUst got to call back when i get my MAC code from aol.

Just thought i would share this with you as i hear many are struggling to join especially newsreader.

The number i called was 08700 248933 hope this helps

well i've had good experencing with them so far as well. Only problem i had was to get plusnet of my back. when i rang sky they also answered within 4rings which was good. i had to give my band code, they guy put the order through and said router will take 5-7 working days, got it after 2 days! then a day after i got a letter saying router was sent also got a letter with the username and password as well as a activation date of the 2nd.

Now i am just waiting for the green light on the router.

Well I for one can't believe Sky are being so foolish as to not limit the sign ups in some way.

Expect the experience to get worse before we see any improvement.

I've said this elsewhere but I would not recommend anyone signing up to Sky for at least another 6 months to a year. Thats what I've recommended to friends & family & will continue to do so until this national beta test is over.
