I have just spoke to Sky and they are wanting to charge me an extra 8.75 because I'm currently getting half price ADSL
I am sorry to say it looks like you have been put on Connect, which is Sky's up to 8Mb package supplied through BT and cost 17 pm. I can't see any other reason for the 8.75.It is an absolutely dire package, even at half price. If you are on Connect, you would probably be well advised to cancel as soon as you can. Just have a look through the complaints about Connect on this forum and on the Official Sky forum. Check if your exchange has been unbundled by putting its name in Samknows. If your exchange has not been unbundled, think very carefully about going any further. SamKnows - Telephone Exchange Search

You might also like to post your stats which will tell us what package you are on.

Sorry it would seem that my last post might not have been very clear. The 8.75 I was referring to is the difference between the discounted broadband-unlimited that I was getting and the price I will be paying now. As it happens, I was slightly off. Basically now that I have broadband unlimited pro, I don't get the half price deal that I was getting before.
I'm now paying 12.95 PM for what I have been told is broadband unlimited pro.

Hopefully that clears up any confusion and I haven't been given this 'connect' service.

It does not matter that much but Unlimited Pro, with phone rental and TV should cost 12.50. Not sure where the 12.95 comes from.

Perhaps the guy I spoke to told me the figure incorrectly (it wouldn't surprise me as he didn't actually know that Broadband Unlimited Pro even existed and basically knew absolutely nothing at all about broadband).

I'll wait and see once my first bill arrives.
