Help! Someone at Sky has inadvertently cancelled my account!

Apparently I was in the process of getting upgraded from Connect to Mid when some idiot stopped the order on the grounds that my line already had ADSL on it. This of course was Sky's own Connect product which I have had for just over a month.

Now, it seems I was not only denied the upgrade but some other idiot over there has put a cease order on my Connect Package. No one can work out why and it cannot now be reversed!

Upshot is I will now be without any internet connection until they go through the process of treating me as a totally new customer - and activation could take up to 30 days!

I could not believe they do not have a system for expediting matters in the case of these kinds of cockups but they suggested this was just some kind of bad luck and I was welcome to approach Customer Services to try to negotiate financial compensation.

Can anyone suggest who I can ask for when I cool down enough to approach Customer Services?

I am no longer the happy camper I was - guess I'll have to find a dialup modem from somewhere.

i would ask for a supervisor/manager straight away and explain what has happened to them and that this is totally unacceptable

Finally got to speak to a "team leader". All full of apologies but absolutely adamant that nothing can be done once a cease order has been started - I will just have to sit out the 30 day period and wait to be reconnected. Even then it won't happen automatically and I will have to keep phoning to check the order status.

All they could do was offer me 2 months Connect rental (which they have already taken) back. This really stinks.
