Is this normal for Downstream and Upstream?

      Hi,

I've been having problems the last couple of days with my broadband. Do these stats seem normal? Would the Upstream be near 3 times more than the Downstream? Any help would be great as I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to this stuff.:

      Broadband Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 383 kbps 1095 kbps
Line Attenuation 55.0 dB 34.8 dB
Noise Margin 8.4 dB 6.3 dB

      Edit:

Also my wireless broadband has cut off a few times but my wired connection is working.

Okay so I signed into my sky and it seems they "Testing my broadband connection" and that started earlier this week. I'm guessing this could be part causing the problem?

Have you checked your line to see if there is any noise?

Using a corded phone plugged into the Master Socket dial '1' and listen for any noise. If you hear any crackling or lots of hiss then please call your line provider (Sky if you have Sky Talk).

You have a long line so some noise might be present. Crackling normally indicates a broken cable.

It looks like you have interference coming from somewhere. Is everything you have connected to the phone line including STBs and alarms running through a filter? If you have a test socket, remove the faceplate and plug a micro filter into the test port, connect your router using only the ADSL cable supplied by Sky. Take and post your stats. Note that your speed may not improve immediately, what we are looking for is a rise in the noise margin and possibly a reduction in the attenuation. While the faceplate is removed, check that all your extensions have no dial tone.
How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket

If you do not have a Test socket, remove everything you have plugged into the phone line and plug a router into the Master socket, again using only the filter and ADSL cable supplied by Sky. Post your stats.
