hi, i have just signed up, thought i should post here instead of making a new thread.

the person on the phone didnt seem to know all that much about sky broadband.

they have told me they are sending the router, and i need to call back when i recieve the router to activate it.
has anyone else been told they must activate it? seemed a bit strange to me.

also do they send any emails in the signup process to keep you upto date?

i have recieved a @sky.com email from them but no password so not sure how to use it.

      Hi vishal

      Welcome to the site

I was told that I would recive my router in around 5 days and once I recive it connect it and then run the CD that comes with it and that would take me to the Sky portal where I could login and change my password etc.

I never had to supply any other email address though they do have the one I used to register my interest and they never mentioned being kept informed and to be honest I never even asked, I will just wait for the box of tricks to show up and take it from there.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
