      that is why Sky has tried to stagger its sign ups, i would assume Sky talked to BT first to see what size of orders they could cope with each week if they didn't then its bad management on both sides

      Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      phoned sky again to check on things

      sept 7th date still stands, hopefully it will go through but still nothing on bt website or bt internal checker

      Well I hope they don't do to both of you what they did to me as they told me the 31st Aug and I never seen anything on the BT checker either until the 31st when they actually placed my order according to the checker anyway and now its set for the 7th.

      something promising i hope.

      my connection has been very bad over the last hour with constant disconnections. im just hoping this has something to do with the migration,

      and not bad service...

      No its not mate mine and my neighbours has also been playing up I rebooted the router and it fixed it so I am guessing they have a problem in our area with a pipe so try the same and see what happens.
