well, got off the phone to sky.

phoned them up to find out my activation date, which was the 31st.

but looks like some sort of problem, i think the mac was rejected, i did repeat it about 4 times to make sure it was correct

i was told a date of the 1st but not confirmed. will hopefully get a letter in a few days confirming everything now. turns out the order was never even submitted.

recieved my letter this morning to confirm the 31st, but i still think the date will slip after speaking with sky.
they could not guarantee the 31st as the activation date.

Yes mine came this morning as well with the same date as yours and all we can really do is hope it happens on time, but as there is no guarantees with most things in life all we can do is live and hope

At least we know where we stand there are a lot of people who are still waiting for there email inviting them to apply.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

my activation on the 1st looks like its not going to happen.

its only a few days away, but since my dad works for bt he checked the system and there are no orders on the line placed.

will phone up sky tomorrow and see whats going on. looks like its going to be about a week delayed.

I haven't called sky so not sure how many times mine has been done but the BT checker now shows mine as being set for the 7th as well and I am guessing if its on there all is ok for me now.

      Good luck anyway

its beging to look more and more like BT cant cope with the incoming orders from Sky and its not Sky at fault.

BT's order tracker now shows my order to cease IPstream and provide LLU SMPF, so should be good to go now. I think they submitted a lot of the MAC codes in lowercase, quite why the BT system doesn't automatically put them in uppercase is beyond me. Oh well.

I know that Talktalk has had big problems because BTs systems are simply not designed for 100k+ orders at once.
