MAJOR problems since a 1mbp drop in speed

So apparently Sky tell me that the 5.6mbp connection o have been on for 2 years is not stable so they drop us to 3.5-4mbps and now I get a 300 ping majority of the time in any game I play if not worse and drops so many times, whereas this "non"stable 5.6 ran all the time perfect at 30 ping and not a single drop.. So I rang sky again and they said wait 10 days so I did and I rang again and they said wait 14 days and still no change.. I'm going to threaten to leave and see if they give me Sky Fibre or something however before I do something like that is there anything I could possibly ask them to do?

Have you checked your voice line for excessive noise? Phone lines can and do develop faults and deteriorate over time.

Sky will certainly give you fibre if it is available on your line, but not for nothing, you will have to pay for it.

Another thing which can cause issues is the installation of the new Fibre network locally.

Are BTO Engineers busy installing it in your area or has it been ready for some time?

Of course it is also possible for a BTO Engineer to have knocked your connection whilst working on someone else's as well.
