Question Router replacement with Asus RT-AC68U

      Hello

I will eventually be getting fibre when BT Openreach finish installing my cab. I am currently on Sky unlimited, using a Sky Hub SR101.
I have got a Asus RT-AC68U Router along with a Huawei Echolife HG612 3B modem which has been unlocked and I have retrieved my Sky username and password from my sky hub using Wireshark following the guide on the forum but I cant seem to get them to work on my current Sky ADSL connection which I need to use for the time being. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips to get my Internet working using the Huawei modem and Asus router ?

      Thanks

I'm not sure with ADSL TBH mate, in your situation I would just do the linking two routers guide from this forum to use the asus through the sr101's dmz and keep the fibre modem in a drawer until you can get fibre.

Ok will do thanks Coipu ! when I do get access to Fibre will I need to change settings in Huawei Echolife HG612 and my Asus router to get the new fibre optic service working properly e.g. put the new login details in to both etc ? because I don't want to mess up the fibre training period.

The modem will connect automatically, but you will have to set up the Asus to authenticate with the username and password.
