      Sky T&C - Own broadband modem/router

This is probably old news but having just upgraded from Sky Unlimited ADSL to Sky Fibre I've been in receipt of a new Sky Hub SR102 & assorted documentation. Section 2(j) states "If you wish to use a modem or any other equipment that we have not supplied to you in order to access Sky Broadband we cannot guarantee that Sky Broadband will work with these." Nowhere does it say 'thou shalt not use your own modem' (or equivalent phrase)

This is rather a result since I plan to use an ex-Openreach VDSL modem along with an Asus RT-N66U - and yes I've already extracted my new username & password (and am actually using them even though the fibre service is not yet live)

I bet this is old news!

Technically you could use the SR102 and configure it to pass all the traffic direct to your own router. Sadly there isn't a 'Modem' mode on the SR102 though.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
