That'll be down to difference in the Sky connection exchange end. I've gone down from 16Mbps sync speed to 14Mbps when I moved from o2 to Sky with the exact same setup as before bar a new router

Yes I know that but Sky maintains that its not their end and promised to send out Open Reach who then were cancelled without any advice to me, so I wasted 1/2 day. I have now changed over to the Sky router from O2 router (to no effect). Sky said nobody else had the issue like me. I already referred them to these forums since clearly I am not alone. But in all events even though I had 11000+ connection with O2, Sky are only promising me a minimum of 9.6k so when they get me back to 9.6k thats it. In the end I envisage Iwill have to jump ship and swim with another provider.

Sky are fully aware of these forums as we used to always used to go on them when I worked for them!

I'm quite sure of it. I just repeated what I was told. Ah well, maybe in a couple of weeks I have time to try again and see what Open Reach picks up. Cheers

Re: O2 broadband moved to Sky - no outbound emails

Another unhappy Sky broadband customer here!

I use Entourage for my mail and been very happy with o2 for around 2-3 years, now forced on to this cr*ppy company.

I was switched over 10.12.13, all was fine until 8.1.14 and suddenly emails intermittently stopped going out. Then 22.1.14 they stopped completely. Incoming emails have not been affected.

Spoken to about 4 Sky people and they all say the same that they don't support Entourage. So why did it work for nearly 1 month? Well thanks! I didn't choose your cr*ppy company anyway!

Then to add insult to injury the poxy service drops out like 10 times a day, pathetic. I just got a new router today so lets see what happens.

If anyone can help with any advice with Entourage that would be great! I have tried various new smtp settings etc but to no avail.

Furthermore, if you know of another isp who does support Entourage I would gladly ditch this idiotic set up.

      Firstly
      I didn't choose your cr*ppy company anyway!
you did, you had every opportunity to go elsewhere when your previous ISP failed.

Entourage was replaced by Outlook for Mac some time ago and I don't think anyone supports it any more. In saying that it should still work OK, just as older versions of Outlook for Windows do. Your problem is probably with the Security settings which have changed slightly. Check you have SSL connection security selected in your settings.
