      Exclamation CHAP Authentication Failed - Error 200

      The green light on my router appeared on the 4th October since then I have had...

      At least 20 conversations with Tier1 (most of them begging to let me go to Tier 2!)

      3 conversations with Tier2, all of which have resulted in them sending me a new router after refusing to let me through to Tier3!

      The 3rd is on its way and forgive me if i dont hold out much hope, I have a CHAP Authentication Failed error and I know it is a username/password issue and they no listen!

      It must cost them a fortune in Netgear routers because they decided to lock the Username/Password menu! I had the same problem with BT (CHAP error) once and I simply called up, asked what my login details were and Hey Presto! it worked.

      They could save us all a lot of time and them a lot of money if they left the routers alone!

      Seems to me that the problem is...

      Tier 1 don't know how to do anything.
      Tier 2 can't be bothered to do anything.
      Tier 3 are to busy to do anything.

      If you're on your third router, I can't help wondering if (like me) your line is plugged into the wrong provider and you're not connecting to sky at all. Does the connection speed look anything like what you should be able to get?
