Your Line Attenuation suggests to me that you have a long line between your hoe and the telephone exchange.

The tool available on this site suggests that you should be able to get between 3-4mb though.

SkyUser - Potential ADSL2 Line Speed Checker & Calculator
      ADSL2+ Speed Test

We estimate your line is capable of between 3mb to 4mb broadband on an ADSL2+ service.
This suggests to me that you may have a line issue.

Since you are connected to the Test Socket, could I ask you to see if there are any old BT or GPO boxes on you outside wall or perhaps elsewhere in your home? The link below shows a few different pictures of them.

Whilst you are doing this, if you could trace where your telephone line goes where it is possible. Some people have a junction box in the loft where it splits to various extensions, including the Test Socket.

Hi, Thank you for the reply. Please see pictures below. This box is directly opposite the master socket on the outside wall.

Is there anything I can do about a line issue? I am about 2.2 miles from the nearest exchange.

Thank you. That is a protective cover over the telephone line which apparently goes off underground. It also confirms that you do not have a BTO Junction box.

Could you complete a 'quiet line test' and let us know the result?

To do this simply plug a corded telephone into the Test Socket, dial '1' and listen carefully.

Ideally the line should be silent but with a long line it is normal to hear a little background hiss. You may also hear a high-pitched noise similar to a fax machine. Again this is fine.

Clicks and loud hissing are not acceptable and would be a perfect reason to call Sky and for them to arrange for a BTO Engineer to pop out to see you.
