      Wireless settings

Having read Ratti's tutorial on setting up of the router, can somebody in the know please confirm as to whether it's in peoples' interests to disable (uncheck) the wireless access point that comes under wireless settings. From a security point of view I just want to check that normal service won't be affected.

Turning of wireless is of course the ultimate wireless security. It will have no affect on any other router function.

If wireless is off then nothing is broadcast so can't make a difference.

In any event turning off SSID won't improve security in any meaningful way.
