Wireless suddenly will not connect to any devices

      Hello,

I have an issue with with my sky broadband that has only just started. Im hoping that it is a common problem with an easy fix.

I have a Sky wireless connection using the Netgear router. I have had this for quite a few years. Up until around 9am this morning, my laptop, iphone, PS3 and home computer were all connecting to the internet wirelessly without issue.

This evening, despite all of the lights on the modem working correctly and all the devices being able to find the wireless connection ( that shows full signal, they all seem to be unable to connect with the phrase 'UNABLE TO JOIN THE NETWORK'.

I have reset the modem, turned everything on and off, searched the internet for answers and changed the passwords to ensure it was not that.

I am able to connect via a hard wire, but the wireless seems not to want to work.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

      Thanks

Could I suggest that you check the WiFi settings?

It is possible that a firmware update has changed from the default security settings to WPA2.

      Hi,

I just removed all of the security options to make it insecure, but it was still the same.

You need to delete the existing settings on your devices to connect to the router as well.
