alternate router recommendations? SR101 poor wifi range.

ok, i've had enough of the SR101 with it rubbish wifi range (2 rooms away and the range is rubbish).
internal non-directional aerials just don't cut it.

so i'm looking for some recommendations for a good high spec router.
must have gigabit, dual band wifi, dyndns support, and other high-end config settings.

      any recommendations?

currently on Sky LLU Unlimited with a downstream sync speed of 21020 an upstream sync speed of 1212.
connection method on the SR101 is MER, but when using the older D934G it uses PPPoA.

Re: alternate router recommendations? SR101 poor wifi range.

I've answered this via PM, but essentially the signal strength of the Sky Hub SR101 is as good ans many of the other popular WiFi n routers available when it came out.

The latest Netgear routers (i.e. R6300) are reportedly noticably better though.

It was also mentioned about directional aerials. The Netgear routers all have built-in aerials. Other manufacturers have these though.

If you still had the AEBS you could use it instead.

Re: alternate router recommendations? SR101 poor wifi range.

      sadly i don't.

however the SR101 sits in the same place as the AEBS, so why i say that the SR101 is poor compared to that at least.
and with the AEBS i'd still need to use the SR101 to physically connect via DSL, or use seperate DSL modem.
